Alaska's $184M Port MacKenzie rail extension: 25 of 32 miles built, no trains yet
Promised a Fall 2015 ribbon cutting for a 32-mile freight rail link to Port MacKenzie, the project has absorbed $184 million in state funding — with track, ties, ballast and signals still missing from most of the line.
