Methodology

Every figure above comes from a confirmed award record with a source — a NOFO selection announcement, a press release, an agency award list, or equivalent primary documentation, reviewed by staff before being marked confirmed. Amounts reflect the award ceiling reported at the time of selection, not always the final obligated amount. Coverage is denser for recent fiscal years and for CRISI in particular; earlier years and smaller/older programs are represented by fewer records, which is a coverage artifact of what we've been able to source and confirm, not evidence that less funding moved in those years. The by-year chart above is scoped to 2020–2026 for this reason.

What This Data Cannot Tell You

This is a record of awards, not applications. FRA and other awarding agencies do not publish unsuccessful applications, so there is no public denominator to compute a win rate, an approval odds, or a competitiveness score against — any such number would be invented, not derived. Nothing on this page states or implies one. What this page shows is exactly what it says: who won, how much, for what, and when, as far as we've been able to confirm it.
