Bridge Investment Program (Large Bridge / Bridge / Planning tiers)
Overview
Major FHWA competitive bridge grants (min $50M for Large Bridge tier) for highway bridges, consolidated FY2023-26 NOFO. Applicant must be a state, MPO (population >200k), locality, or tribe — a port authority or economic development agency that is itself such an entity can sponsor a freight-serving bridge project; a private railroad or transload operator cannot apply directly.
