  THE PROJECT REPLACES TWO EXISTING NORFOLK SOUTHERN RAILWAY (NSRR) STRUCTURES WITH FOUR NEWSTRUCTURES EACH DESIGNED FOR TWO TRACKS. TWO STRUCTURES WILL BE USED BY NSRR UPON PROJECTCOMPLETION. THE OTHER TWO STRUCTURES WILL BE USED IN THE FUTURE AFTER UPRR AND AMTRAKRELOCATE TO THE 10TH ST CORRIDOR. THIS RELOCATION IS EXPECTED TO OCCUR BY DECEMBER 31, 2025PER THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OFTRANSPORTATION, CITY OF SPRINGFIELD, AND SANGAMON COUNTY DATED AUGUST 6, 2020.THE PROJECT INCLUDES UTILITY RELOCATION, NS FORCE ACCOUNT WORK, AND GRADING IN THE PROJECT AREA.
